Description

Footgel Works Winter is specially designed for people who work long hours on their feet outdoors or in cold environments and need to keep their feet warm, comfortable and protected throughout the working day.

Its structure combines a top layer of 100% merino wool, high-density foam and Termocrep-Gel® 3R cushioning technology. This combination helps regulate temperature, control moisture and reduce the impact and fatigue caused by standing or walking for hours.

Benefits

  • Protection from the cold: the merino wool helps maintain a comfortable temperature inside the footwear during winter workdays.
  • Pain relief and prevention: it reduces discomfort in feet, legs and lower back caused by working long hours on your feet.
  • Termocrep-Gel® 3R cushioning: it absorbs the impact of each step to protect feet and joints.
  • Less tiredness at the end of the day: it reduces the strain built up in feet and legs so you reach the end of the day with less fatigue.
  • Moisture regulation: the natural properties of merino wool help absorb moisture and keep feet drier and more comfortable.
  • More comfort in work boots: it improves comfort inside safety boots and work footwear, which tend to be stiffer and colder in winter.
  • Class I medical device: it supports comfort and protection for the foot throughout the workday.
  • Hypoallergenic and antibacterial: it prevents the growth of bacteria to help keep footwear fresher and more hygienic.
  • Long-lasting orange blossom scent: the gel contains orange blossom essence, which fights bad odours.

Scientific evidence

Footgel Works Winter insoles are designed to combine cushioning and thermal comfort during long working days in cold environments. Studies in workers show that soft materials can reduce pressure peaks under the foot, while merino wool helps maintain a greater feeling of comfort against moisture.

Less pressure during long days standing

In a study designed specifically for long working days on your feet, softer materials under the heel and forefoot were associated with lower pressures. The preferred insole showed 22% less overall peak pressure than the least favoured one.

Less moisture inside the footwear

In 21 participants, a breathable textile insole significantly reduced relative humidity under the sole of the foot and especially at the heel, where the reduction reached 24.4% compared with the other solutions analysed.

Merino wool: less perceived moisture and greater comfort

In 37 recruits, a fabric with 50% merino wool was rated as less damp and more comfortable than a polypropylene one after daily 6.5 km marches.

Materials & care

What are they made of?

  • Merino wool: the layer in contact with the foot. Soft, warm and breathable, it helps retain heat and regulate moisture inside the footwear.
  • Termocrep-Gel® 3R: exclusive medical-grade gel technology. Designed to absorb impact and relieve pain in feet and joints.
  • Natural scents: the gel is infused with aromatic essences of orange blossom, aloe vera or eucalyptus to keep your footwear smelling fresh.

How to care for your Footgel Works Winter?

They are not machine washable. As they are made with merino wool, a natural fibre, we recommend washing them by hand in cold water to better preserve their properties.

Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
