Frequently asked questions

What are gel insoles for?

They cushion the impact of your step to relieve and prevent pain in the feet and joints. Our gel adapts intelligently to the pressure it receives: when you walk, it is soft and very comfortable, but when you run or jump it firms up to absorb sharp impact and protect your knees and back, without ever losing comfort. What is more, being a viscoelastic material, it always recovers its original shape. Unlike common foam insoles, they do not flatten under weight or lose their cushioning over time.

How do you fit gel insoles?

It’s very simple. You just need to follow these three steps: Take the current insole out of your shoe and place it on top of the gel insole. With a pen, trace the outline of the insole and then cut along the line to remove the excess. Insert the gel insole into your footwear and make sure the gel side faces down and the fabric faces up. And that’s it, insole fitted!

Is it good to use insoles for your feet?

Yes, especially if you spend long hours on your feet, play high-impact sports or your feet tire easily. There’s no need to wait for troublesome pain to care for your stride: They distribute the foot’s weight evenly and reduce pressure on feet, knees, hips and lower back. They cushion the impact of your step, protecting your feet and joints. They return energy to your stride, reducing the muscular effort needed for any activity. Important! If you suffer from a serious condition, the right thing to do is see a podiatrist. In short, they are a great solution to improve your daily comfort and prevent muscle strain.

How do you choose an insole size?

Our insoles are designed in size ranges and are trimmable, letting you achieve the perfect fit for your footwear. Choose the range that includes your size: 35 – 38 39 – 42 43 – 47 Things to bear in mind: They run slightly larger than usual. This is intentional, to ensure the insole is never too short inside the shoe. When you receive them, just use your footwear’s original insole as a guide and trim the excess.

Can the insoles be washed?

Yes, of course! The vast majority of our models can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle. Exception: insoles with merino wool and the antistatic insole. We recommend hand washing them in cold water to help preserve their properties. Important for drying. Always let the insoles air dry. Do not use a tumble dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess temperature can affect the gel’s structure and properties.

How long do Footgel insoles last?

Their lifespan depends mainly on how intensively they are used, the type of activity and the care they receive. With daily use, their lifespan is usually between 6 and 12 months, and can be longer with less intensive use. Type of activity: using them day to day is not the same as running, jumping or playing high-intensity sports. Your gait and level of use: each person applies different pressure when walking, working or training. Care: following the washing and drying recommendations helps preserve their materials better and extend their lifespan.
