Scientific evidence

Footgel Works insoles are designed to provide even cushioning and better distribute pressure during long days on your feet. Studies in workers show that softer materials under the heel and forefoot can significantly reduce peak pressures, two areas where Footgel Works provides highly effective cushioning thanks to its design and Termocrep-Gel® 3R technology.

Up to 22% less peak pressure

A study designed specifically for people who work many hours standing compared insoles with different hardness levels and a minimum thickness of 5 mm. Softer materials under the heel and forefoot were associated with lower plantar pressures. The insole rated best by participants showed 22% less peak pressure across the whole foot, 19% less at the first metatarsophalangeal joint and 18% less under the big toe.

Less pain and less heavy-leg sensation

In 34 workers who stood for many hours and suffered foot pain, three weeks using insoles were associated with a significant reduction in pain, discomfort and the sensation of heavy legs. Better redistribution of plantar pressures was also observed.

How do I care for my Footgel Works insoles?

Our work insoles can be machine washed at a maximum of 86 °F (30 °C) on a gentle cycle.

Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
