Footgel Camino de Santiago insoles

Description
Footgel Camino de Santiago is a high-cushioning insole designed to walk the stages of the Camino more comfortably. It absorbs the impact of each step, distributes pressure more evenly and relieves strain on feet, knees and lower back along the route.
Benefits
- Pain relief: it reduces discomfort in feet, knees and lower back caused by long walks and uneven ground.
- Cushioning on every stage: it absorbs the repeated impact of walking to protect feet and joints.
- Even pressure distribution: it spreads load more evenly across the whole sole to keep it from concentrating on the main support areas.
- Less fatigue on the trail: it reduces built-up tiredness in feet and legs when walking for hours with a backpack.
- Breathability and odour control: the Tecnion® technical microfibre helps keep the foot dry and controls moisture and bad odours inside the shoe.
- EU Class I medical device · CE marked: manufactured in accordance with European medical device regulations. Protects and supports the well-being of your feet.
- Hypoallergenic and antibacterial: helps prevent bacterial proliferation to keep the inside of footwear more hygienic.
- Long-lasting eucalyptus scent: the gel contains aromatic eucalyptus essence to combat unpleasant odours.

Scientific evidence
Footgel Camino de Santiago insoles are designed to provide cushioning and better distribute load on long routes, elevation changes and walks with a backpack. Studies show that carrying weight increases plantar pressure and that softer materials can help reduce it, especially in areas such as the heel and forefoot.
Less pressure when walking with a backpack
In a study with 20 healthy adults, a cushioned insole reduced plantar pressures while walking, both unloaded and while carrying a backpack. The softer insole performed better in certain areas than a stiffer solution.

Less pressure uphill with a 25 kg backpack
Fifteen athletes walked uphill carrying a 25 kg backpack. Soft, cushioned insoles significantly reduced peak pressure in certain areas of the heel and the fifth metatarsal compared with a flat insole.

More weight in the backpack, more plantar pressure
A study with long-distance hikers found that pressure under the foot increased progressively as the load carried in the backpack rose.

Footgel technology
We make our insoles with a three-layer technology:
Technical microfibre + high-density foam + Termocrep-Gel® 3R
A world-unique formula tested by independent laboratories.
Biomechanical studies support its performance in helping to relieve pain in feet and joints:
- x2 More energy return. Returns energy to every step to help reduce muscle fatigue.
- x3 More cushioning. Absorbs impact to help protect your feet and joints.
- x4 Better pressure distribution. Spreads pressure evenly across the sole of your foot.

How to care for your Footgel Camino de Santiago?
Our Camino insoles can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle.
Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
