Description

Footgel Figure Skating is a high-cushioning insole designed to absorb the impact of jumps and landings and improve comfort inside the skate.

Benefits

  • Pain relief and prevention: it reduces discomfort in feet, knees and lower back caused by jumps, landings and repeated support.
  • Even pressure distribution: it spreads weight more evenly across the whole sole to keep it from concentrating on the main support areas.
  • More comfort inside the skate: it provides a more cushioned surface under the foot during training and competitions.
  • Breathability and odour control: the Tecnion® technical microfibre helps keep the foot dry and controls moisture and bad odours inside the skate.
  • Class I medical device: made in accordance with European medical device regulations. It protects and looks after your feet.
  • Hypoallergenic and antibacterial: it prevents the growth of bacteria to keep the inside of the skate more hygienic.
  • Long-lasting aloe vera scent: the gel contains aloe vera essence, which fights bad odours.

Scientific evidence

Footgel Figure Skating insoles are designed to improve comfort and distribute pressure more evenly inside a stiff, tight boot. Studies in skaters show major pressure concentrations inside the skate and have observed improved stability with the use of insoles.

Greater stability on the ice

In advanced figure skaters, six weeks using insoles were associated with an average reduction of 48.4% in centre-of-mass sway and 45.7% in ankle sway during a static test on the ice.

The skate concentrates pressure on specific areas of the foot

A study measuring plantar pressures inside ice skates showed major differences compared with wearing trainers, with loads redistributed towards the forefoot and midfoot.

How to care for your Footgel Figure Skating?

Our figure-skating insoles can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle.

Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
