Description

Footgel Ice Hockey is a high-cushioning insole designed to absorb the impact of accelerations, stops and changes of direction.

Its structure combines a merino wool layer, high-density foam and Termocrep-Gel® 3R cushioning technology. It helps regulate temperature, control moisture and improve comfort inside the skate.

Scientific evidence

Footgel Ice Hockey insoles are designed to cushion and spread pressure more evenly inside the boot. Studies show high loads on the forefoot and midfoot during ice skating.

The skate changes how pressure is distributed

Comparing ice skates with trainers, a study found a major redistribution of plantar pressures inside the skate, especially towards the forefoot and midfoot.

Merino wool: less moisture sensation and greater comfort

In a field study with 37 recruits, a fabric made of 50% merino wool was perceived as less damp and more comfortable than a polypropylene one after 6.5 km marches. The study was carried out with socks and supports the properties of merino wool as a material in contact with the foot.

What are they made of?

  • Merino wool: the layer in contact with the foot. Soft, warm and breathable, it helps retain heat and regulate moisture inside the footwear.
  • High-density foam: an ultra-breathable material that allows constant airflow to remove moisture and keep your feet fresh and dry.
  • Termocrep-Gel® 3R: exclusive medical-grade gel technology. Designed to absorb impact and relieve pain in feet and joints.
  • Natural scents: the gel is infused with aromatic essences of orange blossom, aloe vera or eucalyptus to keep your footwear smelling fresh.

How to care for your Footgel Ice Hockey?

They are not machine washable. As they are made with merino wool, a natural fibre, we recommend washing them by hand in cold water to better preserve their properties.

Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
