Description
Footgel Ice Hockey is a high-cushioning insole designed to absorb the impact of accelerations, stops and changes of direction.
Its structure combines a merino wool layer, high-density foam and Termocrep-Gel® 3R cushioning technology. It helps regulate temperature, control moisture and improve comfort inside the skate.

EU size is the product’s reference size. US sizes are approximate equivalents and vary by brand. Footgel insoles run slightly large and are trim-to-fit.

Footgel Ice Hockey insoles are designed to cushion and better distribute pressure inside the skate boot. Studies show significant loads on the forefoot and midfoot during ice skating.

Comparing ice skates with sneakers, a study found a major redistribution of plantar pressures inside the skate, especially toward the forefoot and midfoot.

A systematic review concluded that materials such as polyurethane, EVA and polyethylene can reduce peak plantar pressures while walking when used as insole materials.

Merino wool: less perceived moisture and greater comfort
In a field study with 37 recruits, a fabric made of 50% merino wool was perceived as less damp and more comfortable than a polypropylene one after 6.5 km marches. The study was carried out with socks and supports the properties of merino wool as a material in contact with the foot.

What are they made of?
- Merino wool: the layer in contact with the foot. Soft, warm and breathable, it helps retain heat and regulate moisture inside your footwear.
- High-density foam: an ultra-breathable material that allows constant airflow to remove moisture and keep your feet fresh and dry.
- Termocrep-Gel® 3R: exclusive gel technology. Designed to absorb impact and help relieve foot and joint discomfort.
- Natural scents: the gel is infused with aromatic essences of orange blossom, aloe vera or eucalyptus to keep your footwear smelling fresh.
How do I care for my Footgel Ice Hockey insoles?
They are not machine washable. Because they are made with merino wool, a natural fiber, we recommend hand washing them in cold water to better preserve their properties.
Important for drying. Always let the insoles air-dry. Do not use a dryer or place them on radiators or other direct heat sources, as excess heat can affect the structure and properties of the gel.
